Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructional Aide to support teachers and enhance the learning experience for students in a dynamic educational environment. The ideal candidate will assist in the implementation of lesson plans, provide individualized support to students, and foster a positive classroom atmosphere. This role is essential in promoting student engagement and success, particularly for those with special needs.
Duties
- Assist teachers in preparing and delivering instructional materials and lessons.
- Support students with special education needs, including those with autism and other disabilities.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students in literacy and math activities.
- Help with classroom management and organization to ensure an effective learning space.
- Engage in curriculum development alongside teaching staff to meet diverse student needs.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding individual student performance.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages social, emotional, and academic growth among students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to support the educational goals of each student.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education practices, including working with individuals with disabilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members.
- Background in lesson planning, curriculum development, literacy education, and math instruction is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
