Summary:
The HR Assistant supports the Human Resources department by providing administrative assistance, enhancing the employee experience, and helping maintain a positive and engaging workplace culture. This position serves as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions, assists with recruitment and onboarding processes, and coordinates initiatives that promote employee engagement, compliance, and organizational development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide support to employees on HR-related matters, including company policies, benefits, onboarding, attendance, performance evaluations, and other employment-related questions, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
· Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
· Prepare attendance, punctuality, and other HR-related reports for management.
· Monitor attendance records and communicate recurring attendance or punctuality concerns.
· Assist in the preparation, tracking, and follow-up of employee disciplinary actions and corrective action documentation.
· Create, update, and maintain HR forms, templates, policies, and internal documentation.
· Coordinate and track employee performance evaluations and assist managers throughout the evaluation process.
· Support employee engagement initiatives by organizing company events, recognition programs, wellness activities, and team-building events.
· Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive work environment by encouraging open communication and employee participation.
· Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of job descriptions and organizational documentation.
· Support full-cycle recruitment activities, including posting job openings, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and following up throughout the hiring process.
· Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
· Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
· Assist with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department as needed.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
Education & Certification
· High School (minimum), plus equivalent experience.
· Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience
· Previous experience in Human Resources or administrative support is required.
· Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
· Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Bilingual English/Spanish is required.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
