Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and buffing to ensure pristine surfaces.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks involving linens, furniture, or cleaning equipment with proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to respond effectively to incidents or safety concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness standards by inspecting rooms and public areas regularly, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Manage custodial supplies inventory and ensure all cleaning tools are properly stored and maintained.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services, with a strong understanding of industrial cleaning practices.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management principles and hospitality industry standards.
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely by understanding SDS guidelines and using appropriate protective equipment.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure guest and staff safety at all times.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Previous experience in hotel experience or custodial roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
