Duties
- Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and freshness.
- Operate POS systems such as SQUARE POS to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, upselling menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining area by following food safety management protocols.
- Assist with food safety practices including proper food handling, sanitation, and bussing tables or cleaning as needed.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service delivery without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, quick service or fast food restaurants, or retail sales transactions is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as SQUARE POS is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in food preparation, food safety management, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and retail math tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and effective communication abilities.
- Experience in kitchen operations or café environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
