About the Role
We’re hiring a hands‑on, detail‑driven R&D Chef / Product Developer to help us create 3–5 new frozen meals every week. R+D is the heart of our business, and this role requires exceptional culinary creativity, the ability to hit nutrition targets, the knowledge to scale smoothly into production, and the adaptability to maintain target costs.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop high‑protein frozen meals that align with brand standards and macro targets
· Create accurate Recipes, Ingredient Lists, BOMs, and Product Cards
· Maintain accurate Recipe and Ingredient information
· Perform costing analysis to ensure products meet margin requirements
· Work closely with Production to understand processes, equipment, and scaling needs. This will allow you to translate kitchen concepts into production‑ready formulas!
· Act as a hub for cross‑functional teams (Production, Procurement, Marketing, and QA)
· Assist in the collection and testing of Quality Assurance samples
· Stay current on food trends, flavor profiles, and competitive products
Key Skills
· Experience with R&D in a food manufacturing environment is required; frozen food experience is a major plus
· Strong communication and documentation skills
· Excellent mathematical understanding for recipe scaling and costing
· Ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy
· Must have extensive experience with Recipe Development software, BOM creation
· Experience creating nutrition panels and FDA CFR‑compliant ingredient statements strongly preferred
