Job Overview
We are seeking a Custodian to maintain our facility. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for keeping the premises well-maintained and clean.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks when required, including cleaning large equipment or specialized areas
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for fixtures, lighting, or structural issues
- Assist with residential painting projects or touch-ups as needed to support facility aesthetics
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles within commercial or residential settings
- Strong knowledge of custodial techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping, waxing) and general sanitation practices.
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work.
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks over extended periods
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues promptly
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
