Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Chinese dishes using traditional wok techniques, ensuring high-quality presentation and flavor consistency
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet restaurant standards
- Manage inventory control and food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain cleanliness and compliance with health regulations
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food handling, safety protocols, and efficient workflow management
- Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning, catering events, and special banquet functions to deliver memorable dining experiences
- Monitor food costs and assist with budget management to optimize resources without compromising quality
- Ensure adherence to all food safety standards and sanitation procedures across the kitchen environment
Skills
- Extensive experience in Chinese wok cooking, with a strong understanding of traditional techniques and flavor profiles
- Proven supervisory experience in a busy restaurant or banquet setting
- Background in banquet service, catering, or fine dining environments preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control, cost control, and food production processes effectively
