About Hoopbus Hoopbus is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in the belief that basketball has the power to transform lives, build bridges, and uplift communities. Based in Venice, California, we bring the game to the places where it's needed most — from local blocks to global cities — creating unforgettable experiences that spark connection, hope, and possibility. Our programs span youth development, community court revitalization, and resource distribution across our hub cities.
About the Role Hoopbus is seeking an energetic, organized, and hands-on Event Production Intern to support our New York-based programming and activations. This role is ideal for someone interested in live events, sports, experiential marketing, nonprofit programming, and community engagement.
The Event Production Intern will work closely with the Hoopbus team to help bring events from idea to execution. No two days will look the same. One week may involve preparing for a youth basketball activation in Brooklyn, the next supporting a brand partner event in Manhattan, a community pop-up in the Bronx, or a major sports and cultural moment across the city.
This is an in-person, hands-on role for someone who is comfortable moving quickly, solving problems in real time, and doing whatever is needed to help create memorable experiences.
