- Serving as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to orders, damages, returns, cancellations, defects, and delivery concerns.
- Documenting customer issues through Trouble Shooter cases and ensuring concerns are routed appropriately.
- Maintaining proactive communication with customers throughout the issue-resolution process.
- Collaborating with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to determine effective solutions.
- Escalating complex issues when necessary to supervisors or managers.
- Monitoring issue resolution progress and validating that customer concerns have been fully addressed.
- Identifying recurring product, carrier, or system issues and communicating findings to leadership.
- Supporting Customer Experience initiatives that contribute to School Outfitters' success.
- Customers receive timely, accurate updates regarding their orders and concerns.
- Issues are documented thoroughly and resolved efficiently.
- Customers experience a high level of service and feel valued throughout the resolution process.
- Supplier and carrier relationships are leveraged to achieve positive outcomes.
- Customer concerns are resolved completely, not just addressed.
- School Outfitters continues to build long-term trust and loyalty with schools and educators.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of customer service or related experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Active listening skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple customer interactions simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a call center, customer support, or order management environment.
- Experience collaborating across teams to resolve customer issues.
- Valuable experience supporting customers in a dynamic business environment.
- Exposure to cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Customer Relations, Install, and Operations teams.
