We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Marijuana Budtender to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate customers on product options, and assist in creating a welcoming environment. This role requires a strong understanding of cannabis products, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sales transactions efficiently. Prior experience in retail sales, merchandising, or grocery store environments is a plus. The Budtender will play a key role in ensuring customers have a positive experience while promoting responsible consumption.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance based on their preferences and needs
- Educate customers on different strains, edibles, concentrates, and other cannabis products through product demos and detailed explanations
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, including cash handling and retail math calculations
- Upsell products and suggest complementary items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and product rotation
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations regarding cannabis sales and customer age verification
- Support the team with supervising experience when needed, including training new staff or assisting with daily operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, grocery store, or similar customer service roles preferred
- Previous cash handling experience is required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and engage customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse clientele
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic math for transactions
- Knowledge of cannabis products and industry regulations is very preferable
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills essential for creating positive interactions
- Ability to upsell products while maintaining responsible sales practices
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, or supervising roles is advantageous
- Must be at least 21 years old and able to comply with state licensing requirements

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
