American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring at least 1-2 years of L&D experience and Iowa or compact RN licensure.

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

OB/GYN Combined unit within a regional health center
-
Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labor, 3:1 for couplet care
-
Intermediate fetal monitoring and Philips Tracevue equipment used
-
EMR: Meditech
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call requirements
-
Floating within the hospital to other units as needed

Active Iowa RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE
-
Minimum 1-2 years of L&D experience required; candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered if they have travel nursing experience

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required — no exceptions; all background checks must be fully cleared prior to start
-
10-panel drug screening including opiates required

Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult) required

Titers required within the last 12 months: MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
