Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging sermons and religious teachings that resonate with a diverse congregation and inspire spiritual growth.
- Provide pastoral counseling and bereavement support to individuals and families navigating life’s challenges, including terminal illness and grief.
- Lead worship services, religious ceremonies, and special events that foster community engagement and spiritual development.
- Offer spiritual guidance and mentorship to congregation members of all ages, fostering their personal faith journeys.
- Oversee church programs related to religious education, youth ministry, outreach initiatives, and community service projects.
- Collaborate with church staff and lay leaders to develop strategic plans that align with the organization’s mission and vision.
- Manage crisis intervention efforts within the community, providing crisis management support during emergencies or conflicts.
Skills
- Extensive experience in teaching religious studies and biblical theology with strong presentation skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities while demonstrating cultural sensitivity.
- Skilled in pastoral counseling, crisis intervention, conflict management, and terminal illness counseling.
- Exceptional public speaking abilities combined with clear communication skills for sermons, workshops, and community outreach.
- Demonstrated leadership in nonprofit faith-based organizations or similar settings with experience in event planning and program development.
- Strong writing skills for preparing sermons, educational materials, reports, and correspondence.
- Deep understanding of Christian counseling principles along with mentoring capabilities for staff and congregation members.

Pay: $51,333.55 - $61,821.05 per year
