Arrowhead Housing is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of two apartment communities in Pasadena/East LA Area. This is a hands-on position for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Working closely with the Community Manager, you will help maintain the property's appearance, safety, and functionality while delivering excellent service to our residents.
- Oversee the daily maintenance and overall physical condition of the community.
- Complete work orders promptly and professionally, including:
- Basic plumbing repairs
- Minor electrical repairs
- Carpentry
- Drywall and painting
- Perform apartment make-ready duties, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine property inspections.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of common areas, including laundry rooms, hallways, stairwells, breezeways, mailbox areas, and trash enclosures.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and property violations to the Community Manager.
- Coordinate and monitor work performed by outside vendors and contractors.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Deliver resident notices as requested.
- Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies on an on-call basis.
- Represent Arrowhead Housing professionally while providing outstanding customer service to residents.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of multifamily property maintenance experience required.
- Affordable housing experience preferred.
- Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
- Plumbing (toilets, faucets, sinks, valves, and minor repairs)
- Carpentry (doors, locks, shelving, countertops, and general repairs)
- Drywall repair and painting
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and lighting repairs
- Apartment turnover and make-ready maintenance
- Preventative maintenance
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and stay organized
- Basic computer skills and ability to use maintenance software
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and assist with heavier items when needed.
- Push or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Frequently bend, walk, stand, climb stairs, and perform physical maintenance tasks throughout the workday.
- Safely operate maintenance equipment and tools, including pressure washers, paint sprayers, hand tools, and power tools.
