We are hiring for our RTA security contract and have 3 open positions and will conduct training class as each position is filled. RTA assignment pay $15.00 an hour unarmed. Must have 6 months security experience to be assigned. Also hiring for the RTA Armed positions that are paid at $16.00 an hour. Sec-Ops is headquartered in Corpus Christi, Texas. Sec-Ops security officers adhere to quality standards designed to provide our clients quality service. Our security officers are proactive, responsive and ready to meet our client's needs. We pay for time in class to qualify, we provide all uniforms required no cost, and conduct our own State licensing renewal classes.
For these positions, our main function is to provide strict access control, vehicle inspection and screening, and roving patrol for our client under MARSEC security regulations with various shifts and duties. We are to observe, report and evaluate security incidents quickly and effectively. We are the deterrent to prevent crime by performing thorough screening duties maintaining access control, facility patrols and post checks, and remaining visible. Screening all personnel entering the client's facilities, working fixed post as instructed and serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; detect suspicious activities and watch for criminal acts or client rule infractions at or near the assigned post or the client’s property. Must follow post orders exactly and represent the clients security interests. You will report all incidents, accidents or medical emergencies. Respond to emergencies, such as medical, bomb threats, response to alarms, such as fire and intrusion by following emergency response proceedings.
Security Officer Basic Qualifications:*Clear Background Required *Requires excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and be articulate.*Individual must have high integrity, possess strong character and be extremely reliable. *Professional appearance and demeanor.*Must be able to climb stairs, lift and carry up to 45lbs, walk, stand and/or sit up to 8-12 hrs. per day. Multiple shifts available, Day and evening shifts Monday-Sunday.*Must be able to work effectively both in and outdoors during all weather conditions.*Previous security, law enforcement or military experience highly desired but must have 6 months security experience; education may be substituted in lieu of desired experience in security, law enforcement or military.* Must be at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements.* Must have a high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of verifiable employment history.* No criminal convictions as specified under Texas state requirements and Sec-Ops policy guidelines.* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing. * Authorized to work in the United States. * Ability to perform essential functions of the position without reasonable accommodation. * Negative result on pre-employment drug screen, must comply with random drug testing and agreement to support drug free work environment. * Successful completion of Sec-Ops RTA Security Officer Basic Course. * Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard. * Ability to provide quality customer service. * Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively at client site. * Must have a valid driver license. * Must have a current TCPS Level II or III card and successfully pass all state licensing requirements.
