About LaFeet Foot & Ankle LaFeet Foot & Ankle is seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) to join our growing clinical team. We take pride in cultivating a welcoming, collaborative, and professional environment for both our staff and the patients we serve.
Practice Locations This position serves our clinic operations across Metairie, LA and Slidell, LA, as well as providing localized outreach care to partner nursing home facilities in the surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Diagnose and manage comprehensive foot, ankle, and lower-extremity conditions, injuries, and deformities.
- Wound Management: Provide advanced wound care treatment and intervention, particularly for diabetic and vascular patient populations.
- Procedures & Orthotics: Perform minor, in-office surgical procedures (such as nail removals and lesion excisions) and design custom orthotic prescriptions.
- Diagnostic & Treatment Plans: Analyze gait patterns, diagnostic images (X-rays/MRIs), and physical exams to establish tailored patient care plans.
- Patient & Outreach Care: Conduct consultations, prescribe oral and topical therapeutics, and perform routine visits at partner senior and nursing care facilities.
- Clinical Administration: Complete accurate patient charts in full compliance with HIPAA privacy standards and coordinate closely with front-office staff on scheduling and billing documentation.
Qualifications & Credentials
- Education: Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Residency: Successful completion of a Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency (PMSR).
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Louisiana state medical license.
- Certifications: Active DEA registration, CPR certification, and Board certification (or eligibility).
- Skills: Hands-on experience with wound care and familiarity with modern Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Microsoft 365 / Outlook software. Strong clinical diagnostic and communication skills.
Physical Requirements & Safety
- Ability to stand for extended durations during patient consultations and procedures.
- Excellent manual dexterity, visual clarity for fine detail work, and hand-wrist precision.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs, assist patients with mobility limits, and perform routine bending or stooping.
- Strict adherence to OSHA guidelines, infection control protocols, and safe biohazard disposal.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
