Job Summary: The Sales Support Specialist provides direct administrative and outreach support to the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Sales Division. This part-time position is responsible for maintaining regular contact with existing customers, assisting with data entry and account/opportunity input in Salesforce, and helping identify new business prospects through light research and networking. The role ensures consistent communication across accounts, supports seasonal outreach cycles, and strengthens the division’s overall organization and responsiveness.
Business Development
● Maintain quarterly contact with existing Commercial & Industrial prospective and existing accounts through structured phone and email outreach.
● Log all communication, feedback, and new leads within Salesforce.
● Gather information on maintenance schedules, project planning timelines, and potential bids during outreach cycles.
● Adjust outreach according to seasonal market cycles to optimize timing and messaging.
Sales Support and CRM Administration
● Input new leads, project notes, and follow-up tasks into Salesforce for the sales leadership team.
● Maintain clean, accurate customer data and ensure visibility of current opportunities.
● Prepare simple reports summarizing weekly activity and opportunity pipeline status.
Market Research and Business Expansion
● Identify new leads and potential accounts in untapped commercial or industrial sectors.
● Monitor local and regional bid postings, trade publications, and association news for relevant opportunities.
● Suggest new target lists, outreach ideas, or communication campaigns. Sales Event and
Association Engagement
● Attend monthly or quarterly association meetings and events as a representative of the C&I sales team.
● Record relevant networking details, leads, or follow-up actions for sales leadership.
● Coordinate participation with marketing for any shared events or sponsorships. Required
Skills/Abilities
● Excellent communication skills (phone and written).
● Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
● Experience with Salesforce.
● Comfortable balancing structured outreach with creative problem-solving.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience
● Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
● 2–4 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or account coordination.
● Familiarity with commercial or industrial industries is a plus.
