Job Title: IT Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and solutions-oriented IT Specialist to support and maintain our organization’s technology systems and infrastructure. This role is responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, managing hardware and software, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-service mindset to support employees across the organization.

Part-time (15-25 hours per week)
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues

Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other IT equipment

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access across systems

Troubleshoot and resolve system, application, and connectivity issues

Perform routine system updates, backups, and maintenance
-
Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement

Maintain documentation of systems, processes, and support activities

Ensure compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and best practices
Assist with the maintenance, support, and optimization of the company's ecommerce platform and website

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) are a plus
‘Day in the life’: A typical day for an IT Specialist involves responding to support requests, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring systems are running smoothly. You might set up new employee workstations, resolve connectivity problems, or perform routine system maintenance. Throughout the day, you’ll interact with team members across departments, providing timely solutions and guidance while helping maintain a secure and efficient technology environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in IT support, help desk, or a similar technical role
-
Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems
-
Familiarity with networking concepts, hardware, and troubleshooting

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
-
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Experience with cloud platforms, security tools, or IT service management systems is a plus
