Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, using advanced techniques such as balayage or highlights.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations following health regulations.
- Utilize salon software like Vagaro to schedule appointments, manage client records.
- Engage in active client communication to understand their needs and recommend suitable products or services for retail upselling.
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing waitlists, and ensuring a smooth flow of salon operations.
- Stay current with industry trends in hair styling, coloring techniques, and new beauty products to provide innovative solutions.
Experience
- Some experience is wanted but not required.
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist or cosmetologist with a strong portfolio of diverse services performed.
- Skilled in various hair care techniques including coloring (hair coloring), extensions, and styling for different hair types.
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols and maintaining a clean work environment according to health standards.
- Experience with retail sales strategies including upselling products like hair care items or cosmetics to enhance client experience.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members while providing personalized service.
- Ability to perform specialized treatments such as eyelash extensions or nail care is a plus but not mandatory.
- Certification in cosmetology or barbering is required; additional training in store management or retail math is advantageous.

Pay: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour
