As a Fiscal Analyst 1, you will process mailed-in documents, batch check payments, process returned refund warrants, and provide other fiscal support as needed. If selected, here are some of the other essential functions you can expect:

Process and reconcile tax documents.

Analyze and process refund warrants returned to the agency.

Create, process, transmit, and reconcile daily cash journals.

Respond to inquiries regarding payments and business processes.
The required qualifications are key competencies that have been successfully demonstrated through experience or education. To join our team, you must possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies:

Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word functions and applications, gained through training, coursework, or progressively responsible experience using these tools to complete work tasks accurately and efficiently.

Demonstrated ability to perform numeric data entry (10-key or computer) by touch, supported by previous experience in high-volume data processing or similar environments requiring speed and accuracy.

Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced team environment, shown through prior experience contributing constructive feedback, ideas, or problem-solving solutions to achieve group goals.

Proven ability to communicate clearly and accurately in both verbal and written formats, including experience explaining and interpreting cashiering requirements or other technical information to financial and non-financial audiences using plain language.

Demonstrated ability to safely handle and move boxes or materials weighing up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, based on previous work that required handling physical items or equipment.

Proven ability to process large quantities of fiscal data, supported by experience accurately reviewing, organizing, or reconciling high-volume financial or transactional information.

Preference may be granted to candidates who possess:-
One year of experience as a Fiscal Technician 3 OR
One year of professional-level accounting experience.
College-level education in accounting or a related field can substitute for experience.
