American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma Neuro ICU position at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Indianapolis, IN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience and working nights on a 13-week contract.

24-bed Trauma Neuro ICU treating critically ill trauma, neuro, and surgical patients
-
Trauma cases include blunt force and penetrating injuries such as abdominal, maxillofacial, orthopedic, and thoracic trauma
-
Neuro cases include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, aneurysms, brain tumors, seizures, and traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries
-
Surgical cases include complex spine and abdominal surgeries, head and neck procedures, and specialty OB/GYN
-
Advanced procedures include hemodynamic monitoring, massive transfusion, ICP monitoring, brain tissue oxygenation, ventricular drains, and continuous dialysis

Patient ratio of 2:1

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week

Every other weekend required

Holiday and hard-to-fill shift coverage required

EMR: Sunrise (SCM)

Active IN or Compact RN license required

Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required

Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Driver's license copy required for consideration

Two professional references required for consideration

Level 1 Trauma Center, Stroke Center of Excellence, and Transplant Center

Royal blue scrubs required

Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible only at a reduced pay rate
