At this posted salary rate, this position reports to work Mid-August to Mid-May (167-days annually) but is paid over 12-months per year and eligible to pick up more work as needed.
Schedule is generally Monday-Friday, full-time daytime hours
Responsible for teaching courses and assessing learning outcomes in Diesel Mechanics/Technology. Assignments may include alternative delivery methods, evening courses, and multiple sites. Must demonstrate excellence in teaching and service. Must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the community college.
Work Location: Scott Community College, Belmont Campus
Contract Days: 167 (off Mid-May through Mid-August) There is potential to teach summer terms for additional pay
Faculty receive 10 days sick PTO & 2 days Personal Time to start. Retirement is 9.44% employer contribution.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of at least 6,000 hours (about 3 years full-time) of relevant tested work experience in Diesel Mechanics or Diesel Technology (or related area) OR associate’s degree in a Diesel Technology field or special training in Diesel Technology
Starting minimum pay range: $54,198.18 - $63,195.08 annualized, with annual increases (3%-5% per contract on EICC careers page)
