About the Role
We are seeking a creative, confident, and collaborative Senior Landscape Architect / Project Manager with 5–10 years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will take full ownership of projects from concept through construction. Your day-to-day work will involve leading design and planning efforts, managing project budgets, and compiling precise construction documentation. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior staff and build strong relationships with clients and collaborators.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive landscape design concepts using SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, and Revit, ensuring alignment with client visions and project goals.
- Conduct site analysis utilizing GIS tools such as ArcView and ArcGIS to inform sustainable and context-sensitive designs.
- Prepare detailed construction documents, including grading plans, planting schemes, hardscape layouts, irrigation systems, and land surveying data.
- Oversee project management tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with contractors during construction phases.
- Review construction estimates and ensure adherence to specifications for landscape maintenance, hardscape installation, and landscaping features.
- Incorporate sustainable design principles into all projects, emphasizing eco-friendly materials, water conservation (irrigation), and low-impact development practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape architecture or related fields with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful project delivery.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino), Civil 3D, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator), Blue Beam and all office products
- Knowledge of horticulture practices and plant selection tailored to various climates and environments.
- Familiarity with land surveying techniques and land surveying tools for accurate site data collection.
- Experience in construction estimating, project management, and working closely with contractors during installation phases.
- Strong understanding of sustainable design principles including stormwater management, irrigation systems, and environmentally responsible landscaping solutions.
- Excellent drafting skills combined with the ability to visualize concepts clearly through technical drawings and presentations.

Remote/Location
This position is ideally based in our world-class resort mountain town offices in Ketchum, Idaho, or Bozeman, Montana. There is a possibility of remote work for well-qualified candidates located in or near major metropolitan areas (e.g., New York, LA, SF, SLC, or Boise), with a requirement for regular travel to the Sun Valley/Bozeman offices.
