Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to participate in a variety of accounting and administrative functions, including billing, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, health insurance administration, and general support to the Accounting Department.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Administration
- Prepare and follow up on project payment certifications.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for operating and payroll accounts.
- Maintain updated records related to platforms, system access, and financial documentation.
- Assist with audit preparation and organization of accounting records.
- Process B2B tax payments and perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Billing and Accounts Receivable
- Monitor and follow up on project certifications and invoicing activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records.
- Track collections and outstanding balances.
- Prepare and maintain Accounts Receivable Aging Reports.
Health Insurance Administration
- Coordinate enrollment and termination processes for employee health insurance plans.
- Review billing statements and applicable payroll deductions.
- Assist with annual health insurance renewal activities.
Records Management and Documentation
- Digitize, organize, and maintain financial documents and records.
- Manage electronic and physical filing systems.
- Ensure digital records are complete, accurate, and legible.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.
Experience
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a similar accounting or administrative role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work setting.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
