Position Summary
UBS Staffing is seeking an experienced and dependable HVAC Technician with strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with A/C installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
HVAC certification and previous A/C installation experience are required for this position.
The successful candidate should be safety-conscious, professional, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install residential and/or commercial air conditioning and HVAC systems
- Perform HVAC system inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
- Identify mechanical and electrical system problems
- Perform preventative maintenance and necessary repairs
- Install and replace HVAC equipment, components, ductwork, and related systems as assigned
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, equipment specifications, and installation instructions
- Test HVAC systems to ensure proper and safe operation
- Maintain accurate records of work performed when required
- Communicate equipment concerns, repair needs, and job progress to supervisors
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition
- Follow applicable HVAC safety procedures, company policies, and industry standards
- Provide professional service while working at customer or project locations
Required Qualifications
- HVAC Certification – REQUIRED
- Previous A/C installation experience – REQUIRED
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and industry practices
- Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC equipment
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical components related to HVAC systems
- Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications
- Experience using HVAC tools, gauges, meters, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Dependable, professional, and safety-focused
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to perform physical duties associated with HVAC installation and service work
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous residential and/or commercial HVAC experience
- Experience installing complete A/C systems
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance and HVAC repair procedures
- Additional HVAC, EPA, or industry-related certifications are a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on job-site assignments
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to perform the physical responsibilities associated with HVAC work, including standing, bending, climbing, reaching, carrying tools and equipment, and working in indoor and outdoor environments.
