United Mailing Services, Inc. has been in business since 1990 and began in the basement of the owner’s home. The company is privately owned, and works directly with the United States Postal Service. UMS picks up corporate mail, co-mingles, and sorts mail by address to achieve discounts offered by the USPS.
The Opportunity
United Mailing Services (UMS) Green Bay is looking for a Driver to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being on the road, interacting with customers, and also helping out inside our facility when needed.
This position is also responsible for delivering mail to the Post Office at the end of the production day (typically around 6:00pm).
In addition, this role will serve as the backup driver for our evening Milwaukee route (2:30pm–10:30pm) roughly 10 times per year. This backup duty includes a position premium once fully trained.
What You’ll Do
· Safely complete a daily assigned mail route
· Pick up mail from customers in a professional and courteous manner
· Drive UMS-provided vehicles (cargo van or minivan)
· Drive a straight truck during heavy mail volume - we will train you!
· Report customer requests or concerns from the route
· Assist in the shop by loading/unloading vehicles and delivering mail or product to the correct departments
