Position Summary
The Server/Cashier is responsible for providing friendly, accurate, and efficient guest support while processing customer orders and payments in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role supports front-of-house operations by greeting guests, maintaining clean and organized work areas, ensuring order accuracy, and following company standards, food safety expectations, and applicable workplace requirements. The Server/Cashier contributes to a positive guest experience through professionalism, teamwork, attention to detail, and dependable service.
- Greet guests promptly in a friendly, professional manner.
- Accurately take and enter customer orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Communicate menu information, promotions, and ordering options clearly to guests.
- Address guest questions or concerns professionally and involve management when appropriate.
- Maintain a welcoming, respectful, and customer-focused environment.
- Process payments accurately using approved payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, and other company-approved tenders.
- Follow company cash handling, drawer accountability, and loss prevention procedures.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail during peak business periods.
- Issue receipts and ensure transaction records are complete and correct.
- Accurately fulfill customer orders according to company standards and procedures.
- Ensure orders are complete, accurate, and presented properly before delivery to guests.
- Maintain awareness of menu offerings, promotions, and operational procedures.
- Assist with stocking supplies, organizing work areas, and maintaining operational readiness throughout the shift.
- Support efficient workflow and customer satisfaction by communicating effectively with team members and management.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of customer areas, counters, beverage stations, restrooms, and assigned workstations.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces, equipment touchpoints, and guest-facing areas as assigned.
- Complete opening, shift, and closing tasks accurately and on time.
- Dispose of trash and maintain safe, organized work areas in accordance with company procedures.
- Work cooperatively with team members and management to support daily restaurant operations.
- Communicate delays, guest concerns, safety issues, or operational needs promptly.
- Participate in required training and demonstrate willingness to learn new procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned based on business needs.
- Must meet the minimum age requirements allowed under applicable state federal labor laws.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Professional, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality when handling customer or business information.
- Previous restaurant, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
