Job description:
Classique Wines was founded in 1999 as a boutique French wine distributor, thus the name.
In time, our role began changing to reflect the evolving tastes in the wine world. The idea of being a boutique wine (and future spirits) distributor did not waver.
The mission of our company was and is to bring high quality, market-value-priced wines and spirits from all over the globe to your table. In most cases, these are small producers with limited distribution.
Job duties:
*Pick and Deliver orders-this is a small team, so the Manager will make some of the deliveries
*oversee all things in the warehouse – Receiving, warehousing & Distribution operations
· Track and report breakage
· Track and report any delivery mistakes
*keep warehouse clean & organized
· Ensure OSHA guidelines are being followed.
· Find new locations for new items and be sure to log into the system or report to main office
· Research any inventory discrepancies
· Submit warehouse needs
*Maintain Fleet
· Make sure vehicles are safe & clean
· Make sure maintenance is performed regularly to ensure safety
· Oil changes need to be performed on a regular basis and any other larger
maintenance needs to be reported and approved before scheduling.
· Make sure all vehicles are locked and secure each night
*Oversee all warehouse and delivery driver workers
· Hire and train delivery and warehouse staff
· Oversee workers schedules
· Approve time cards and schedule workers as needed
· Make sure all workers arrive on time and ready to work
· Motivate & discipline staff
· Ensure orders are pulled correctly before getting loaded onto trucks
· Route drivers to maximize time and efficient gas use
· Use vehicle trackers to verify time worked and appropriate use of time & travel
· Make sure in town drivers are utilized well and manage time and tasks appropriately
· Make sure delivery drivers are dressed in appropriate uniform and safe shoes
· Ensure workers are taking proper safety measures such as glove wearing and back braces
· Submit uniform needs
· Communicate with STL warehouse manager
· Implement policies and procedures
Must be 21+ and must have valid driver's license with a clean record.
