Mover / Loader
Job Summary
OneRelo Worldwide is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Mover/Loader to assist with the loading, transportation, and delivery of household goods, commercial equipment, and other customer property. This position plays a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and professional moving services while maintaining high standards of customer service and safety.
Essential Functions
- Load, unload, move, and position furniture, equipment, cartons, and other items in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
- Secure items for transportation to minimize the risk of damage during transit.
- Assist with packing, unpacking, and inventorying customer property as needed.
- Operate moving equipment, including dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other tools, following proper safety procedures.
- Assist drivers and crew members with route-related tasks and customer service activities.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks, equipment, warehouses, and work areas.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and company policies.
Preferred:
- Prior moving, warehouse, logistics, delivery, or transportation experience.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, box trucks, or similar equipment.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for positions involving vehicle operation.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to perform the essential functions of the job, which may include:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing in and out of vehicles.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of items of varying sizes and weights.
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Repetitive use of hands and arms while handling materials and equipment.
