Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Grade Foreman to lead grading operations on construction projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can supervise crews while safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment. This role requires strong knowledge of grading, site preparation, and earthwork operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate grading crews on-site
- Operate heavy machinery, including:
- Motor Grader
- Skid Steer
- Roller/Loader
- Excavator
- Dozer
- Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and elevations
- Ensure work is completed according to project specifications and schedules
- Maintain a safe job site and enforce safety policies
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, and crew members
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Grade Foreman or similar leadership role
- Strong operating experience with motor graders, skid steers, rollers/loaders, excavator, and dozers
- Knowledge of GPS grading systems (preferred, not required)
- Ability to lead crews and maintain productivity
- Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
