We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. Duties
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building interior systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment, and facilities equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and electrical equipment repair tools to ensure safety and compliance.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and maintenance painting tasks to uphold facility aesthetics and integrity.
- Maintain HVAC systems by diagnosing issues, replacing parts, and executing system repairs to ensure optimal climate control.
- Use hand tools and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to perform preventive maintenance and respond swiftly to operational issues.
- Read technical schematics and schematics to identify faults in electrical or mechanical systems accurately.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance projects involving plumbing system repair, building interior maintenance, or facilities equipment upgrades.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for work order management, documentation, and inventory tracking.
- Lead or support team members in maintenance operations while ensuring adherence to safety standards and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a strong background in mechanical knowledge, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, and building interior maintenance.
- Proficiency with hand tools, schematics reading, electrical equipment repair, and troubleshooting using devices like ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, welding techniques, carpentry skills including residential painting, and maintenance painting.
- Ability to perform plumbing system maintenance and repair effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members.
- Supervising experience or leadership skills are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment requiring multitasking across multiple trades.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects and working at heights when necessary.
