We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hardware Engineering Manager specializing in High-Speed Networking to lead our cutting-edge hardware development initiatives. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage hardware engineering teams focused on high-speed networking hardware development, including routers, switches, and related infrastructure components.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept through deployment, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and business objectives.
- Collaborate with software engineers, network architects, and product managers to integrate hardware solutions with software platforms such as VMware, vSphere, and cloud services like AWS and Azure.
- Drive continuous improvement in hardware design processes, emphasizing quality, scalability, and security standards such as network security protocols and information security best practices.
- Manage vendor relationships for hardware components, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of quality products.
- Implement project management methodologies including Agile practices to ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of technical excellence.
- Develop strategies for disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and system maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and resilience of network infrastructure.
- Supervise technical support activities related to network support, server management, firewall configuration, WAN/LAN support, and remote access software troubleshooting.
- Monitor industry trends in high-speed networking technology to incorporate innovative solutions that enhance performance and security.
Skills
- Extensive experience managing IT infrastructure projects with a focus on high-speed networking hardware and systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN, WAN, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and network security measures.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure; experience with virtualization technologies like VMware (vSphere) is essential.
- Hands-on expertise with server management (Microsoft Windows Server), databases (SQL Server), Active Directory management, IIS web services, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Jira for project tracking and IT service management.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds; vendor management skills for hardware procurement and maintenance.
- Proven leadership in supervising technical teams; excellent organizational skills coupled with strong communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework for IT service management; experience in configuration management and IT governance practices.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues quickly; strong troubleshooting skills in network engineering and system support environments.
- Experience implementing software solutions related to network infrastructure; disaster recovery planning; managing remote access solutions; information security protocols.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
