Business Development Representative:
The mission of the Business Development Representative is to initiate new relationships that generate Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) revenue in assigned markets. This role involves consistent outreach through calls and emails to secure appointments with qualified prospects. At Aldridge, our sales model is Account Executive-led—meaning a senior seller will often join the BDR on pre-qualified appointments. The BDR is responsible for identifying opportunities, setting those appointments, and maintaining a steady flow of activity to support revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting & Outreach
- Conduct cold and warm calls, direct emails, and social media outreach to prospects using Aldridge’s CRM (HubSpot)
- Create and manage prospecting lists using ZoomInfo and research on associations and events relevant to Aldridge’s Target Client Profile (TCP)
- Attend networking events to build new connections
- Call on and engage in high-level conversations with C-level executives
- Be highly responsive to prospects and customers
Lead Qualification & Appointment Setting
- Pre-qualify prospects to identify those who meet Aldridge’s criteria
- Set qualified first-time appointments with decision-makers
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings between prospect executives and Aldridge Account Executives
- Record action items and follow-ups from prospect interactions
CRM & Process Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contacts, leads, and opportunities in HubSpot
- Track all prospecting activity in the CRM
- Manage the sales process for assigned leads through handoff to an Account Executive
- Learn and follow Aldridge’s sales process and methodology
Professionalism & Accountability
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of Aldridge services
- Be openly accountable by clearly stating commitments and following through
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An eagerness to learn, curious and customer-centric
- A “Go Getter” attitude, highly motivated to achieve and exceed targets
- A commitment to team and company success, a team player who wants to contribute and learn from others
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or a combination of experience and education
Preferences:
- Experience in a fast-paced prospecting/outbound sales development role
- 1+ years of experience in an IT Sales related environment
- Passion for sales and technology
- HubSpot or other CRM experience
Hybrid work schedule:
- Optional work from home days are Mondays and Fridays
- Required in-office days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
Additional Requirements
- Physical ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods
- Must be comfortable with periodically lifting 25 pounds
- Must be able to work in one of Aldridge offices in DFW, Houston, San Antonio or Seattle
