We are a 4-12 Grade Private School seeking passionate and dedicated educators to join our dynamic team as a teacher specializing in English Language Arts (ELA), and Social Studies. In this role, you will inspire students to develop critical thinking, reading comprehension and literacy skills. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curricula aligned with grade-level standards, incorporating creative writing, literacy education, and social studies content.
- Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate various teaching strategies, including the use of Experiential Learning and technology tools to enhance student engagement.
- Teach three (3) English Language Art classes.
- Teach one (2) Social Studies classes.
- Teach two (1) Reading Intervention class.
- Differentiate instruction.
- Utilize assessment data to drive instruction.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive discipline techniques and behavior management strategies to create a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, including standardized testing preparations, providing timely feedback to support growth.
- Adapt instructional approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners, including students with autism or special education requirements, ensuring inclusive classroom practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school initiatives, and academic advising to promote continuous improvement in teaching quality.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student assessments, attendance, and other administrative documentation using education administration tools.
Requirements
- Certified and Provisional Certification Acceptable. Retired teachers are welcomed.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Technology proficiency.
- Prior classroom experience teaching ELA, Social Studies subjects in small class settings (10-15 students).
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques for teaching in PODs.
- Experience working with children with diverse learning needs, including those with dyslexia, ADHD and Divergent Learners in special education programs.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and integrating learning technology into daily instruction.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare hands-on, interactive, performance-based and engaging learning while fostering critical thinking skills.

Pay: $30,500.00 - $45,000.00 per year
