Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Driver Class A to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. You will play a vital part in ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining excellent customer service, and adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across local, regional, or national routes, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
- No touch freight
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Route driving with a focus on efficiency, timeliness, and customer satisfaction while managing delivery schedules effectively
- Secure freight properly for transport, including load balancing and securing cargo on flatbeds or other truck types
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, inspections, and other required documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with necessary 2years experience dry van trailers if applicable
- Proven truck driving experience with a strong understanding of freight handling and route management
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred but not mandatory if willing to learn
- Familiarity with different truck types including flatbeds, tankers, roll-off trucks, and dump trucks is a plus not required
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation laws
- Strong physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and physical tasks involved in loading/unloading freight
