Operations Assistant / Field Runner Restoration (1099 Independent Contractor)
Position Overview
Mold and Water Florida Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Operations Assistant / Field Runner to support daily business operations. This role focuses on handling essential tasks that keep jobs moving efficiently, including material runs, equipment organization, and general operational support.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position best suited for someone who is organized, proactive, and looking to gain experience in the restoration industry.
Reporting Structure
- This role reports directly to the Owner for task coordination, priorities, and daily communication.
Scope of Work
- Perform operational support tasks as requested, including:
- Material and supply pickups (The Home Depot and other vendors)
- Dump runs and debris disposal
- Transporting equipment and materials between job sites and warehouse
- Maintain organization of:
- Warehouse
- Equipment and tools
- Company vehicles and work vans
- Clean, stock, and prepare vehicles for daily operations
- Assist with basic job site preparation when needed
- Ensure all tools and materials are accounted for and ready for use

Compensation

Contractor Requirements
- Must operate as a 1099 independent contractor
- Responsible for own taxes
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Physically capable of lifting, loading, and working in field environments
- Ability to travel locally between job sites and warehouse

- Tasks assigned as needed; contractor maintains discretion in how work is completed
Independent Contractor Notice
This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not a W-2 employee position. Contractors:
- Are not employees of Mold and Water Florida Inc.
- Are not eligible for employee benefits, overtime, or workers’ compensation
- Maintain control over how they perform their services
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
