Responsibilities include:
-
Responsible for learning and being familiar with all of Ameristar Casino Resort and Spa’s room outlets, and for being able to answer general questions regarding the property.

Assists in training and developing team members to the proper service standards.
-
Assists the management team in monitoring guest service, food quality, and service quality on a consistent basis.
-
Assists the management team in maintaining the morale of the department through open communication and teamwork.
-
Interacts with guests and team members by maintaining a visible presence in guest areas during peak business periods.
-
Assists in managing the expenses for the outlets through par inventory maintenance and ordering supplies as needed.
-
Assists in labor management by increasing and/or reducing labor based on business demands.
-
Ensures that foods coming from the kitchens are up to designated standards; communicates with the culinary and chef teams if there are discrepancies in quality or consistency.

Observes and enforces Health Department regulations regarding food handling, storage, proper steam table temperature, and cleanliness of work environment.

Attends company training programs as scheduled.

Completes opening, closing and other side duties as assigned by manager.

Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in food and beverage services required.

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity required.
-
Must have excellent customer service, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.

Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
-
Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Must have good organizational skills and ability to complete several ongoing activities, projects, or assignments to meet deadlines.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a high degree of honesty and candor.

STARTING SALARY: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour
