Job Summary:
Work hour: Monday-Friday 3 pm - 6 pm
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at our ABA therapy center. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and understand the importance of a clean facility, especially one that serves children with autism and other developmental differences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of therapy rooms, offices, restrooms, kitchens, hallways, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and desks
- Replenish soap, sanitizer, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Empty trash cans, diaper genie and recycling bins; properly dispose of waste
- Clean windows and mirrors
- Maintain janitorial equipment and supplies in an organized manner
- Follow all safety protocols, especially when using cleaning agents
- Notify management of needed repairs or potential hazards
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed
- Ensure the facility is clean and ready each day before clients arrive
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning products, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods
- Must pass background checks and clearances as required for working in a child-centered healthcare setting
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $17.00 per hour
