Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial cleaning and floor care, with a focus on maintaining cleanliness and safety in various environments. This role is essential in ensuring that all flooring surfaces are properly cleaned, maintained, and presented to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of various floor types, including carpet, tile, and grout.
- Execute specialized floor care tasks such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing.
- Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness in custodial areas and ensure all equipment is stored properly after use.
- Follow environmental services protocols to promote a safe and healthy environment for all occupants.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is essential.
- Knowledge of carpet cleaning methods and products is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently while adhering to schedules.
