Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to ensure an enjoyable experience while taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of beverage recipes, specials, and menu offerings to assist guests in making informed choices.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing cash transactions, credit card payments, and managing tabs seamlessly.
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper handling procedures for food and beverages, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation at all times.
- Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies, and assisting with beverage recipe development to keep offerings fresh and innovative.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy hours, including banquet or catering events if applicable.
- Process cash handling accurately while maintaining attention to detail during transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations and safety protocols to provide a safe environment for staff and guests alike.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender or in food service within the hospitality industry is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong skills in mixology, cocktail creation, wine knowledge, craft beer experience, and beverage recipe development are highly valued.
- Experience working in fine dining settings or high-volume bars will be advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is required.
- Ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods using effective time management skills is crucial.
- Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and accurate order processing are necessary for success in this role.
