Excited to start a new adventure, fubatea is excited to kick off in a new venture to create a mini bakery during the mornings. We are looking for someone that is passionate about baking. We have already stablished cookies recipes NY style and cheesecakes but we are not close to team up with our bakery assistant and introduce new seasonal flavors to the menu. If you are someone that loves to create delicacies, this might be the match you are looking for.
We are seeking a kitchen-focused team member to lead our daytime baking and prep cycle while providing secondary support at the tea bar. Starting at 8:00 AM, your primary responsibility is back-of-house production—baking fresh cookies, making cheesecakes, and preparing doughs for the next day. You will also step out of the kitchen during morning hours to provide customer service and serve lattes
The day will look like following
- Mid-Morning Bake-Off: Arrive at 8:00 AM to immediately bake fresh batches of cookies and pastries, keeping the display cases filled.
- Cheesecake Production: Mix, bake, cool, and decorate cheesecakes according to exact recipe specifications.
- Dough & Base Preparation: Spend the afternoon prepping ingredients, mixing doughs, and making bases to set up the next day's kitchen production.
- Kitchen Sanitation: Wash commercial bowls, sanitize mixers, clean work surfaces, and strictly follow food safety guidelines.
Barista & Front-of-House Support
- Case Merchandising: Ensure the bakery display looks clean, organized, and beautifully arranged throughout the shift.
- Provide excellent customer service: After cookie and cheesecake display is ready, you will step out of the kitchen during morning or midday to help take customer orders and process transactions.
- Drink Preparation: Prepare latte drinks and teas.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Schedule: Must be available for an 8:00 AM start time Monday - Friday
- Baking Experience: Previous professional baking, pastry, or high-volume commercial kitchen prep experience is highly preferred.
- Barista Skills: Previous barista experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right kitchen-focused candidate.
- Workflow Flexibility: Ability to prioritize a heavy baking schedule while remaining willing to jump on the register.
Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour
