Position summary
Assist production and bindery operations from job intake through final QA and shipment. Drive productivity, ensure consistent print and finishing quality, maintain equipment and materials to meet deadlines and cost targets. Duties
- Run bindery and finishing: operate/troubleshoot cutters, folders, saddle stitchers, laminators, drills and other finishing equipment. Set up jobs and maintain quality standards.
- Conduct prepress processes such as color calibration, proofing, and quality control checks to guarantee consistency across all printed materials.
- Manage the entire print production workflow from initial setup to final inspection, ensuring adherence to specifications and deadlines.
- Perform routine maintenance on printing machinery and machining tools to maximize efficiency and prevent downtime.
- Implement quality control procedures by inspecting finished products for color accuracy, alignment, and overall print quality.
- Support customers through effective communication by phone, email or in-person
Experience
- Hands-on experience in print production and bindery/finishing operating cutters, folders, binders and finishing equipment.
- Strong knowledge of prepress techniques, color management systems, and layout design principles.
- Experience on offset press is preferred.
- Familiarity with digital press and copy machine fundamentals.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with printing equipment and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Experience in quality control practices within a manufacturing or print production setting.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
