Project Manager Commercial

Responsibilities:
- Business Development
- Emphasis in commercial sales and client relationships.
- Utilizing contacts to gain access to new projects.
- Developing and implementing sales strategies in key markets.
- Project Management
Oversee multiple projects in various stages including budgeting, preconstruction, construction, completion, and closeout.
- Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
- Manage all project management processes for RFI’s, submittals, etc.
- Budget tracking
- Communicate effectively with the project team.
- Periodic inspection of construction sites.
- Scheduling
- Create and manage the project schedule with the superintendent.
- Ensure that construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule.
- Coordinate subcontractor meetings on site as needed.
- Estimating
- Estimating during all phases of pre-construction (schematic design, design development, construction documents)
- Bringing about optimum utilization of resources- labor, materials and equipment, and ensuring their procurement at most cost-effective terms.
Knowledge and Skills Required:

- Proven problem solving skills.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction projects (preferably multi-family and commercial construction).
- A four-year bachelor’s degree in construction management is preferred but not required.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA safety standards is essential.
- Computer Skills: MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam preferred.
