Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for water, fire, flood, or mold-related incidents, providing immediate mitigation services.
- Perform cleaning and debris removal using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as carpet cleaners and mold remediation tools.
- Conduct water extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes using industry-standard techniques and equipment.
- Assist with fire restoration efforts including soot removal, odor control, and debris cleanup.
- Implement mold abatement procedures following safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure environmental safety.
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport personnel and equipment to job sites while maintaining proper documentation.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protection, and adhere strictly to safety protocols during all mitigation activities.
- Document job progress accurately using Xactimate or similar estimating software for insurance claims processing.
- Support construction-related tasks when necessary, including minor repairs or structural assessments post-mitigation.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients throughout the restoration process and addressing their concerns professionally.
Requirements
- Prior experience in the restoration industry or construction is highly preferred; however, motivated newcomers with a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of emergency response readiness procedures and the ability to act quickly under pressure.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques, flood restoration, water damage mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and other restoration machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection standards.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating company vehicles is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Willingness to be on-call for emergency response coverage outside regular hours as needed.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high-quality work standards.
