Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our Prestons location with energy, passion, and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the restaurant team to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold brand standards.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food safety procedures to ensure high-quality offerings.
- Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining optimal stock levels using POS systems.
- Supervise daily shift operations, including cash handling, POS transactions, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Train, develop, and evaluate staff members through effective onboarding, ongoing training & development initiatives, and performance reviews.
- Implement management strategies for budgeting, cost control, and maximizing profitability while maintaining excellent food quality.
- Coordinate kitchen management activities including food production, prep, catering services, bar operations, and banquet events when applicable.
- Conduct interviews for hiring new team members and oversee staff scheduling to ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
- Foster a hospitality-focused environment that emphasizes teamwork, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
Skills
- Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling within quick service & fast food or casual dining settings.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Spot On POS and Toast POS for transactions and inventory management. We are also connected to third party delivery applications.
- Strong background in restaurant management including shift management, kitchen supervision, and food safety compliance.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in staff training & development, supervising teams, and managing restaurant operations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes, inventory control practices, and food industry regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
