Little Angels Academy is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child is prepared for kindergarten success. We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Georgia Pre-K Assistant Teacher to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom instruction and activities.
- Supervise children at all times to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
- Support small-group and one-on-one learning experiences.
- Help prepare classroom materials and maintain an organized classroom.
- Assist with meals, transitions, playground supervision, and rest time.
- Encourage children’s social, emotional, language, and academic development.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Follow all DECAL, Bright from the Start, and Georgia Pre-K policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must possess one of the following DECAL-approved Assistant Teacher credentials:
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood Care and Education
- Technical College Diploma (TCD) in Early Childhood Care and Education
- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or another DECAL-approved field
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or another DECAL-approved field
- Must successfully pass Georgia’s fingerprint-based criminal background check.
- Must be dependable, professional, and enjoy working with preschool-aged children. (Decal)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a licensed childcare center or Georgia Pre-K classroom.
- CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of GELDS and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
