About the Opportunity
Atlantic Spine Center is seeking energetic, compassionate, and results-oriented Patient Advocate / New Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing team.
Atlantic Spine Center is a leader in endoscopic and minimally invasive spine surgery. Our Patient Advocates are often the first personal connection between prospective patients and our practice.
This is not a traditional front-desk position. You will build relationships with prospective patients, understand their needs, follow up consistently, and help them take the next step toward an office or online consultation with our clinical team.
You will also work alongside our AI-assisted patient engagement technology, which helps with routine outreach and follow-up so our Patient Advocates can spend more time helping patients who need personal attention.
What You’ll Do
- Respond promptly to new patient inquiries
- Communicate with prospective patients by phone, text, and other approved channels
- Build strong, professional relationships with patients
- Understand each patient’s needs and identify barriers to scheduling
- Help patients schedule and complete office visits and online consultations
- Follow up consistently with patients who have expressed interest
- Re-engage patients who have stopped responding
- Assist with general scheduling, insurance, imaging, and logistical questions
- Help patients submit MRI and other imaging when appropriate
- Identify patients seeking second opinions or advanced spine treatment
- Escalate medical questions to the appropriate clinical team
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow-up activities in our CRM
- Work closely with physicians, clinical staff, scheduling, and insurance teams
- Use our AI Patient Advocate technology to manage leads efficiently and prioritize patients who need human assistance
Who We’re Looking For

Preferred Experience
Healthcare experience is preferred, particularly in:
- Spine, orthopedic, neurosurgery, or pain management practices
- Patient advocacy or patient navigation
- Medical scheduling or patient intake
- Healthcare call centers
- Medical customer service
We will also consider exceptional candidates from other industries who have demonstrated outstanding communication, customer service, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.
Compensation & Career Growth
We offer a strong compensation program designed to reward both performance and long-term career development.
Starting Pay: $25/hour + Commission
Patient Advocates have the opportunity to increase their hourly compensation based on performance, experience, role development, and tenure:
- Opportunity to earn up to $36/hour by Year 3
- Opportunity to earn up to $38/hour by Year 5
- Opportunity to earn up to $40/hour by Year 6
- Commission and performance incentives are paid in addition to hourly compensation
At the senior level, $40/hour represents approximately $83,000 in annual base compensation for a full-time employee, before commission and additional incentives.
Our commission program rewards successful patient engagement and completed office and online consultations. High-performing Patient Advocates have significant additional earning potential.
