Job Summary:
The PM Bistro Bartender is responsible for the complete set up and operation of the café/bistro bar during evening hours, including pouring beer and wine, crafting cocktails, and serving light bistro fare and snacks to all guests. This role maintains the service, hygiene, and cleanliness of the bar area, ensuring quality presentation, guest satisfaction, and strict control over liquor, beer, wine, and food inventory.

Problem Solving: Must be effective in handling operational issues, including anticipating evening rushes, preventing inventory shortages, and solving guest order discrepancies.
Flexibility: Must be willing to cross-train in other hotel food and beverage areas and maintain confidential information.
Fundamental Requirements
Hospitality: Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees at all times.
Cash Handling: Process guests' checks, collect cash, and process credit cards or room charges accurately through the Point of Sale (POS) system.
Station Setup: Perform opening and closing side work, including stocking the bar, cutting garnishes, and prepping mixers.
Beverage Crafting: Prepare beer, wine, cocktails, and seasonal beverages according to brand standards for taste, portion control, and presentation.
Responsible Alcohol Service: Verify guest age and check ID as required; monitor guest consumption and intervene appropriately per state and brand alcohol service guidelines.
Food Service: Serve light bistro fare, appetizers, and evening snacks in a warm, professional manner, ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
Cleanliness: Ensure the bistro seating and bar service areas are kept clean, sanitized, and tidy.
Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining beverage cost by following exact recipe builds. Complete daily requisitions to maintain liquor, beer, wine, and mixer par levels (first-in, first-out method).
Equipment Care: Clean glassware and bar tools, restock supplies, and ensure bar equipment is maintained and properly secured.
Garnish Prep: Prepare all beverage garnishes and accompaniments.
Qualification Standards
Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous bartending or hotel hospitality experience is helpful.
Must be 21 yeara of age or older to serve alcohol
Physical Requirements
Flexible schedule and evening/night hours frequently required.
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently to lift kegs, liquor cases, or restock inventory.
Ability to stand for the entire duration of the shift.
