Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish performance goals and development plans for engineering personnel.
- Recruit, train, and retain engineering talent to support current and future business needs.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, innovation, and operational excellence.
Manufacturing & Process Engineering
- Direct engineering support for PCB fabrication and manufacturing operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, throughput, yield, and equipment utilization.
- Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, equipment, and manufacturing methods to enhance operational performance.
- Ensure manufacturing processes are robust, standardized, and capable of consistently meeting customer specifications.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and cost-reduction initiatives across the organization.
- Drive projects that improve safety, quality, delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Utilize KPIs and performance metrics to identify opportunities and measure results.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline.
Quality & Compliance
- Partner with the Quality team to ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for process failures, customer complaints, and quality issues.
- Support audits and maintain compliance with applicable quality management systems and certifications.
- Ensure engineering documentation, specifications, and procedures are accurate and current.
Project & Product Management
- Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are achieved.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) and ensure successful transition into production.
- Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and improve manufacturability.
- Provide technical leadership and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to achieve business objectives.
- Provide technical expertise and support to internal and external customers.
- Participate in strategic planning and capital investment decisions.
- Communicate project status, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical, or related discipline) required.
- Master's degree or advanced technical certification preferred.
Experience
- 7+ years of progressive engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
- Experience in PCB fabrication, electronics manufacturing, semiconductor, or highly regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
- Proven success leading process improvement, capital projects, and engineering teams.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and production environments.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing performance metrics.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Frequent walking throughout production facilities.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and use a computer for extended periods.

Pay: $68,350.98 - $82,315.16 per year
