Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering components.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements to maintain vehicle health.
- Repair or replace components related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes (for commercial vehicles), and other specialized systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle parts with precision.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical and mechanical problems effectively.
- Ensure all repairs meet dealership or industry standards for quality and safety while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across various makes and models; dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics tools, schematics reading, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience repairing diesel engines, transmissions, powertrains, and auto body components.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology, air brake systems, welding techniques, and suspension/alignment procedures.
- Ability to use a wide range of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines including oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts replacement.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
