Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Commercial Building Maintenance Porter and Handyman to join our dynamic facilities team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality of our commercial building. Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including residential painting, floor care, and surface maintenance to uphold a high standard of cleanliness throughout the building
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and other mechanical equipment to identify issues early
- Utilize schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems effectively
- Carry out minor repairs such as carpentry, or plumbing to resolve maintenance issues promptly
- Support supervisory staff in overseeing subcontractors or vendors during specialized repair projects
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities and maintain compliance with facility standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or handyman roles within commercial or residential settings
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in building mechanical systems
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with tenants or visitors
- Supervising experience is preferred for leadership responsibilities within the team
- Basic proficiency in English for clear communication and documentation
